In Loving Memory of Prof. Stephen Hawking

The Theory of Everything is a 2014 British biographical romantic drama film directed by James Marsh and adapted by Anthony McCarten from the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Wilde Hawking, which deals with her relationship with her ex-husband, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, his diagnosis of motor neurone disease, and his success in physics.
It’s a romantic saga which celebrates the life of Hawking’s and his ever-active intellectual search and his perseverance in the face of all odds. James marsh carefully has redrawn the sublime picture of the resilience of Jane hawking and the implacable love she shares for Mr. Hawking. The movie thrives on the performances of its leads, Eddie Redmayne outshines with his sublime portrayal of professor hawking which embodied both the intellectual spirit and brilliant sense of humor of one of the great minds of our time.
He not only manifested all the physical traits of hawking but also projected an authentic imagery of his emotional vibes.  This is an astonishing, genuinely visceral performance which bears comparison with Daniel Day-Lewis in My Left Foot. So the star in making bears the signature of the greatest star who illuminates Hollywood precipice of the current era.
Felicity Jones was lovely and graceful in her portrayal of resilient Jane Hawking. She encompasses her indomitable love and steadfast will with a sublime touch. One particular frame stuck in my mind and convinced me to recognize the acting prowess of Miss Jones was when her character breaks up with Stephan Hawking, that moment brought the best in her.
Sometimes the narrative seems sloppy and hurried and overdid the silver linings, but Mr. Marsh’s directional venture elevates the story to an enduring saga of love and hope, which without precision and emotional depth could easily be a disaster in biopic genre. He prudently gathers bits and pieces of Hawking’s lectures and his book to assemble a riveting romantic biopic which contemplates love with all its complication.
The soulful piano notes which followed the narrative has evoked an ethereal feeling in viewers. Composer Jóhann Jóhannsson composed the theme with dainty precision with an ineffable scientific quality about it, which evokes hope and a new beginning in each of its note.
These are the few instances when the film feels reticent and removed. Otherwise, The Theory of Everything, referring to Hawking's dream of finding an equation to explain all existence, is riveting science, emotional provocation and one-of-a-kind love story all rolled into one triumphant film. Bravo. As Mr. Hawking pointed out “when there is life there is hope”, I think it’s the perfect way to briefly depict the movie.
If you haven't watched this movie, I highly recommend it. I am going with 8.0/10 for this romantic saga which celebrates the life of Hawking’s and his ever-active intellectual search and his perseverance in the face of all odds.
R.I.P Prof. Stephen Hawking you made me look beyond the stars and to jump through infinite time. your theories and charisma will be cherished forever in my heart and in the hearts of my descendant's generation hence.
